Four courses for adults navigating midlife transition, sober curiosity, career reinvention, and intentional living — $39 each, or all four for $99. No therapy, no sales pitch. Just structured, honest conversation, hosted by mindfulness coach Billy Lahr.
Midlife isn't a crisis.
It's a recalibration.
Each course addresses a different stage of midlife transition — identity and direction, your relationship with alcohol, stepping away from convention, and present-moment living. Each is $39, or get all four for $99.

$39Clarity · Identity · Direction
The foundation course — for anyone asking, "Who am I becoming?" Four sessions to map your roles, understand your patterns, find your people, and build structure that lasts.
A guided exploration of identity, purpose, and the roles shaping who you are today. Map the ten roles defining your life right now, and uncover which ones energize you, drain you, or deserve more attention.
A practical, grounded look at personality patterns and preferences — no stereotypes, no typecasting. Learn how your natural tendencies affect communication, motivation, and conflict.
Reignite growth by identifying interests worth pursuing and communities that support them. Learn to find aligned communities using tools like ChatGPT, MeetUp, and Facebook.
Create structure that supports your growth without suffocating it. Design a "minimum viable structure" for your goals — one built on discipline, patience, and self-compassion, not willpower alone.
Feeling stuck? Jump start your life.

Awareness · Identity · Choice
This course isn't about forcing sobriety. It's about examining your relationship with alcohol — honestly, without judgment, and without a binary choice.
An honest look at alcohol as a tradeoff — not a villain and not a reward. Explore what it reliably gives you, and what it quietly takes in the next 24–72 hours.
Exploring identity, confidence, and the roles we associate with alcohol. Reflect on how drinking affects your Ten Roles, your confidence, and your self-perception.
Reclaim agency in social situations without forcing a binary choice. Explore peer pressure, people-pleasing, and boundary erosion — and how to choose intentionally.
Define health on your own terms — moderation, long breaks, sober stretches, or no relationship at all — and design one that aligns with who you're becoming.
Feeling sober curious? Become a Sober Explorer.
Begin Sober Explorer — $39
Freedom · Design · Reinvention
For those considering stepping away from the traditional script. Four sessions to build a compass, fund your time away, protect your health, and design just enough structure to make freedom usable.
A values-first conversation about intention and direction. Identify a one-word theme to guide your gap year — a decision filter for pace, spending, energy, and priorities.
An intentional spending approach for travel life. Adapt a travel-friendly version of a Conscious Spending Plan to align expenses with your one-word theme.
What long-term lifestyle change asks of your energy, health, and relationships — and how to regulate, not romanticize, the nomadic life.
Design anchor points — financial, logistical, emotional — that allow freedom to be usable rather than chaotic.
Need a change? Plan your Adult Gap Year.
Plan Your Adult Gap Year — $39Presence · Structure · Alignment
For those who want to live deliberately — without burning out. Four sessions on mindfulness, an overactive mind, mindful movement, and sitting with difficult emotions.
Present-moment awareness without self-judgment. Learn to relate to a wandering mind with patience instead of frustration — the real skill isn't perfect focus.
Practical tools to strengthen concentration and reduce mental struggle — so distraction becomes manageable and racing thoughts become workable.
Mindfulness beyond the breath, into the body — through movement, posture, and eating. Catch tension earlier and respond sooner, before burnout hits.
Welcome what hurts, and strengthen compassion. Learn the practice of loving kindness — well-wishes that reshape how you relate to yourself and others.

With 20+ years of teaching thousands of students and coaching adults from all over the world, I hold a Master of Education, a Minnesota teaching license, and certification in mindfulness meditation instruction. I'm a former high school English teacher turned mindful and intentional living coach. For the past four years, I've produced and hosted The Mindful Midlife Crisis, a podcast for people navigating the complexities and possibilities of life's second half.
I've built communities in Seoul and beyond, and guided conversations that help people reflect, connect, and grow. But I'm also someone who has sat in the middle of a midlife pivot asking: What am I doing? Who am I becoming? And how do I slow down enough to hear what my life is trying to tell me?
My work blends structure and self-awareness, logic and intuition, personal development and real-world practicality. I'm here to help you make sense of the chaos, reconnect with your values, and build the kind of life that feels intentional — not accidental.
